When global leaders gather, everything needs to work flawlessly. For the 17th Summit of La Francophonie in Yerevan, SINKOM was the backbone of the technical operations, ensuring seamless communication on a historic stage.

On October 11-12, the Armenian capital became the diplomatic heart of the French-speaking world under the summit's powerful theme: "Living Together."

The stakes couldn't have been higher. Representatives from 83 nations touched down in Yerevan, including a constellation of presidents and prime ministers. Among the distinguished arrivals was French President Emmanuel Macron, who visited on October 10th.

But what exactly is "La Francophonie"? It’s far more than a club of French speakers. It is a major international organization representing a global community bound by decades of cultural and historical ties with France. Today, it stands as a crucial platform for economic and political cooperation, uniting 58 member states and 26 observer governments.

For Armenia, hosting this summit was a milestone. As the only post-Soviet nation to achieve full membership in the Francophonie and earn the right to host the 2018 summit, this was a defining moment. In a country where French is the third most spoken language, the event was not just a political gathering—it was a profound cultural celebration.
